Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Security Architect to join our UK defence-focused team in London. You will design and maintain security architectures for ICT capabilities, safeguarding data and systems across projects in Critical National Infrastructure, National Security, Defence and Nuclear sectors.

Applicants should have 5 years’ UK Defence security architecture experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce clear technical documentation for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence at senior levels.
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex security challenges.

Responsibilities

• Designing Security Architecture for ICT capabilities, overseeing the security framework aligned to SbD.
• Strategic alignment of security with the client’s business and technology goals.
• Threat and vulnerability management including risk analyses and security assessments.
• Security solution design and evaluation of technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, SOAR).
• Policy and procedure development to ensure GDPR/HIPAA compliance and best practices.
• Incident response planning and coordination for security incidents and breaches.
• Stakeholder communication to technical and non-technical audiences including senior management.
