Job summary

Arup’s Security Advisory practice in the UKIMEA region seeks a Senior Security Consultant focused on malicious risk and risk management strategy. You will lead security risk assessments, work directly with clients across transport, infrastructure and property sectors, and shape project delivery and service offerings.

You will manage project teams, develop client briefs, engage regulators, and contribute to internal tools and methods while maintaining technical excellence and commercial oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant security profession within the last five years.
• Degree or equivalent qualification relevant to security.
• Membership to a professional body or certification scheme (CSyP/RSES) preferred.
• Experience in professional services consultancy or client/site-facing roles.
• Ability to convey complex information clearly; strong report-writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to assess physical and personnel security risk and develop mitigation solutions.
• Experience managing projects and teams with financial oversight.
• Willingness to develop new service offerings with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Security Risk Assessment and management and delivery of projects, including team management.
• Shape internal methods, tools and service offerings to meet market needs.
• Engage with regulators and stakeholders to address security risks and design criteria.
• Collaborate with Security Advisory leadership and design teams on project delivery.
• Develop client briefs, define scopes and manage client relationships across sectors.
