Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced Senior Security Consultant / Systems Engineer to lead security design packages and deliver practical, buildable solutions across diverse projects. You will translate risk assessments into layered security designs and work with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.

You will apply threat assessments, security risk assessments and established standards to develop proportionate protections, coordinating with architecture, structures and building services

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in designing and assessing physical security measures to protect buildings, infrastructure and assets.
• Experience applying threat assessments and security risk assessments to develop protection measures, with knowledge of relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake physical security and forced-entry surveys, identifying vulnerabilities and site risks.
• Assess forced-entry resistance of building elements: walls, floors, roofs, doors, glazing, locks.
• Develop layered physical security and hardening solutions for new and existing facilities.
• Prepare security strategies, Operational Requirements, Security Management Plans and technical specifications.
• Coordinate security requirements with architecture, structures and building services teams.
• Complete technical reviews, design surveys, installation inspections and security assurance activities.
• Communicate complex security requirements clearly to clients and project teams.
