Job summary

Fortis Secure Transport, part of the Muve Healthcare Group, is seeking an RMN Nurse for Secure Transport. You will support individuals with acute mental health needs, providing safe, lawful, and dignified transfers by rail, road, or hospital settings across the Birmingham area.

You will work in trained crews, handle de-escalation, reporting, and handovers, and may assist during hospital admissions or psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Clear and compassionate communication with patients, families and colleagues.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• A valid UK driving licence and, ideally, access to your own vehicle.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and NMC registration or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Drive secure, specially adapted vehicles in urban or rural settings.
• Supervise and engage with patients, including behavioural support and de-escalation.
• Accurate reporting and professional handovers to care teams.
• Provide extended supervision during hospital admissions or psychiatric settings.
• Contribute to safeguarding and risk management during transfers.
