Job summary

Prometheus Safe and Secure is recruiting a registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to lead clinical care during patient transfers, hospital watches and places of safety services. The role requires two years post-registration experience, enhanced DBS clearance and a valid NMC RMN registration.

You will drive company ambulances when needed and supervise a small team across a 24/7 rota. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence (with few penalty points) and be able to work flexibly across shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years' post-registration experience
• Enhanced DBS clearance
• Valid NMC registration as RMN
• Full UK driving licence with <6 penalty points
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee patient care during secure transfers and related services
• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care during transfers and observations
• Assess patient needs, identify risks and implement care plans
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation, apply physical intervention when necessary
• Ensure comprehensive clinical handovers and risk assessments
• Coordinate staff and maintain professional standards
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals
• Apply safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation
• Maintain accurate documentation and report incidents
• Drive ambulances when required and perform vehicle checks
• Work across a 24/7 rota and attend the designated base in uniform
