Prometheus Safe & Secure in Birmingham seeks a Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse to lead safety and compassionate care during high-stakes journeys and periods of observation. You will support patients, families and partners with clinical judgement and calm leadership.

You will work across 24/7 shifts, perform rapid risk assessments and ensure accurate handovers while maintaining dignity, privacy and trust in every interaction.

Formación

• Current valid NMC PIN with at least two years post-registration experience.
• Full UK driving licence for both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead safety and care during transfers, bed watches and places of safety activity across services.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate interventions during time-critical movements and at bedside.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation using clinical judgement to keep patients and staff safe.
• Take ownership of thorough handovers including risk history, presentation and care plan with ward teams and AMHPs.
• Set the shift tone by briefing, allocating tasks and modelling compassion and professionalism.
• Safeguard adults (and children where applicable) in line with policy and the Mental Health Act.
• Record incidents promptly and escalate to the Clinical Logistics Manager.
• Uphold confidentiality, equality, diversity and data protection at all times.
• Check vehicles and equipment before departures and report restock needs.
• Work flexibly across a 24/7 rota and attend base in company uniform.
