Job summary

M Group Highways is seeking a capable Civil Site Engineer to join our Civils projects team in the South West, Bath. You will manage engineering activities, supervise the workforce and uphold safety and quality standards across projects.

You will contribute to permit processes and maintain accurate site records using AutoCAD, while supporting ISWM culture and continuous improvement. The role is based on-site in Bath within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision including earthworks, drainage, structures and highways.
• Flexible approach and ability to embrace change and drive change through the team.
• Highly organized and able to juggle priorities for many stakeholders while staying focused on what’s most important.
• Ambitious – focused on continuous improvement and delivering best for projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing all engineering activities including engineering control, setting out and directing the workforce along with leading Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.
• Ensuring the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards across all projects in line with policies and ISWM culture at M Group Highways.
• Assisting and managing the permit process including CAT scanning and issuing permits.
• Keeping accurate records including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations and as-built information using AutoCAD.

You’ll be joining our Civils projects team in the South West in Bath - We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

What will you be doing?

You'll be managing of all engineering activities including engineering control, setting out and providing direction to workforce and leading Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications

Ensuring the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects, adhering to health and safety policy/ environmental policy and actively supporting the It Starts With Me (ISWM) culture that is an integral part of the M Group Highway's working environment.

Part of the role involves assisting and managing the permit process including CAT scanning and issuing Permits

We'll ask you to keep accurate records including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations and as-built information using AutoCAD.
