Job summary

M Group Highways is seeking a highways design professional to contribute to design packages for construction on highways assets, including carriageways and safety features. You will produce technical outputs, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with QSE standards while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires knowledge of NH standards, experience in design and construction, and a valid UK/EEC driving licence, with opportunities to work across UK offices and develop

Qualifications

• Design and construction experience within the highways sector.
• Knowledge of National Highways standards including DMRB & MCDHW.
• Awareness of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction.
• UK/EEC driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with undertaking of designs and producing design packages for construction on highways assets including carriageway, footways, signs and safety barrier.
• Produce technical reports and other technical output to achieve project outcomes
• Undertake site visits, surveys and investigations
• Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with QSE standards and processes
• Technical training / supervision of Technicians
• Working collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives

What you'll be doing

What you'll bring

• Design and construction experience within the highways sector
• Commercial awareness on the delivery of projects
• Knowledge of National Highways standards including DMRB & MCDHW
• Awareness of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
• Computer literate design software and Microsoft packages;
• Competent user of AutoCAD & Civils 3D (desirable)
• Willingness to work in other UK offices for short term assignments
• UK/EEC driving licence.
