Job summary

Dovetail & Slate is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to manage a specific kitchen section in a fast-paced, professional environment. You will prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard while supporting the wider catering team.

You will uphold food hygiene, safety and presentation standards at all times, and help develop junior team members through service for a close-knit kitchen brigade.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen
• Sound knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
• Ability to work calmly under pressure during service
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Collaborative approach and willingness to mentor junior staff

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard within your section
• Supervising and supporting junior chefs and kitchen assistants during service
• Maintaining stock levels, rotation and storage within your section
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations
• Contributing to menu planning and development of new dishes
• Maintaining a clean, organised section before, during and after service
