Zusammenfassung

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11-16 in Swindon. You will work alongside teachers and the SENDCo to aid lesson access, monitor progress and promote an inclusive learning environment.

In this day-to-day role, you will foster positive relationships, adapt tasks for diverse learning needs, and help students stay engaged during the school day, within standard term-time hours.

Qualifikationen

• Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience and adaptability, strong classroom management.
• Attitude: Proactive, friendly and reliable with a genuine desire to help students.
• Requirements: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Aufgaben

• Support individual students or small groups in lessons to help access the curriculum.
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs (SEN) adapting tasks to ensure inclusivity.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment throughout the day.
• Build strong relationships to boost confidence, motivation and classroom engagement.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENDCo to monitor and report student progress.
