Randstad Education in Swindon is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16. You will work with individual students or small groups to access the curriculum and assist with SEN, while maintaining a positive learning environment.

The role offers a consistent 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM schedule, term-time, with a competitive daily rate and opportunities for professional development within a supportive school team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, youth work, sports coaching, or care settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with patience, adaptability, and strong classroom management support.
• A proactive, friendly, and reliable approach with a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Responsabilités

• Support individual students or small groups in lessons to help them access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs (SEN), adapting tasks and resources to ensure inclusivity.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment throughout the school day.
• Build strong, encouraging relationships with students to boost their confidence, motivation, and classroom engagement.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to monitor, track, and report on student progress.
