Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Wakefield is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for 1:1 and small group interventions in secondary schools across the area. These long-term positions involve supporting students to reach academic and personal potential, with ongoing training and a dedicated recruitment consultant.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children or young people in education.
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with secondary students.
  • Experience supporting SEND, SEMH, Autism or ADHD is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
  • Deliver small group intervention sessions.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning objectives.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress; provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional development.
