Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support schools across Warrington with immediate opportunities. You will work in primary and secondary settings, assisting pupils with learning, development and wellbeing alongside teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Work with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff.
• Contribute to a nurturing learning environment.

We're looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support schools across Warrington, with immediate opportunities available.

About the Role:

We are seeking Teaching Assistants to work within primary and secondary school settings, supporting pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing. You'll work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide targeted assistance to individuals and small groups, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and engage positively in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups with their learning and development
• Assist teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities
• Provide additional support to pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils and their education
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A proactive and positive attitude
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
• Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs
• Previous experience working within a school or education setting
