Job summary

Teaching Personnel Liverpool is seeking dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to support Year 7 students across partnership secondary schools from September 2026. This full-time role offers temporary to permanent opportunities with competitive daily pay and access to multiple partner schools across Liverpool.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist teachers in fostering an inclusive environment, and help pupils develop academically and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check on the update service.

Teaching Personnel Liverpool are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to support the new cohort of Year 7 students joining our partnership secondary schools in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact during a key transitional stage in students' academic journeys.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional guidance
• Delivering small group interventions to support learning and engagement
• Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Supporting students with a range of needs, including academic, social, and emotional development
• Helping to manage behaviour and encourage positive learning attitudes

What We're Looking For

• Have experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, or similar)
• Are patient, adaptable, and confident in supporting students with varying needs
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are committed to supporting students' progress and wellbeing
• Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service

Working Hours & Pay

• Full‑time: Monday to Friday
• Working hours: 6.5‑hour school day
• Daily rate: £95 - £105 (dependent on experience)
