Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to work full-time across mainstream secondary schools and SEN provisions in Liverpool. This role offers hands-on experience for graduates aiming to pursue teaching, educational psychology, or support services.

As part of the school team you will support students with diverse learning needs, work with teachers and SENCOs, and help deliver engaging lessons, interventions, and inclusive classroom practices. Start September 2026.

Qualifications

  • A degree (Psychology or related field preferred).
  • A genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Previous experience in tutoring, support work, care work, or similar roles (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time)

Pay: £95-£100 per day (6.5 hrs)

Start Date: September 2026

Liverpool

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistants to work on a full-time basis across mainstream secondary schools and specialist SEN provisions in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in education, particularly those considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or support services.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of learning needs. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support, both in the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs, including those with SEN
  • Assisting classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons
  • Providing one-to-one and small group interventions
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
