Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a Secondary SEND Teacher to plan and deliver lessons tailored to pupils with diverse needs in a supportive learning environment. You will manage behaviours, promote inclusive practices, and work with the team to help students overcome barriers to learning.

The role emphasises safeguarding and a positive, patient approach, with ongoing CPD support and professional development provided by Protocol Education.

Qualifications

• Empathy and patience when working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
• Ability to problem-solve and modify pupil behaviour effectively.
• Organised, flexible, resilient, and physically fit.
• Positive attitude towards working with SEN students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons that meet varied educational needs.
• Use behaviour management strategies aligned with school policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Maintain discipline and foster an orderly, supportive atmosphere to help pupils learn.
• Observe, monitor, and evaluate pupil responses using various assessment strategies.
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse needs and participate in physical activities as appropriate.
• Promote inclusion and ensure equal opportunities to learn and grow.
• Take an active role in safeguarding and welfare of students.
