Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming Secondary Schools across Brent, working full-time five days a week to support pupils in and out of lessons.

You will work with teachers, SEND teams and pastoral staff to provide 1-to-1, small group and class support, helping students stay engaged and develop confidence.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people, a passion for education, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people is highly desirable.
• Experience in schools, SEND, youth work, coaching or care settings is advantageous.
• Patience, approachable and able to build relationships with students.
• Confident communicator and team player.
• Willing to support wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons through 1-to-1, small-group and whole-class support.
• Providing additional support to students with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Helping students stay focused, engaged and confident in their learning.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience and independence.
• Supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Working closely with teachers and school staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Building positive relationships with students and helping them reach their potential.
