Job summary

Reeson Education in Harrow is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to work in a specialist SEN setting from September on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. You will plan and deliver PE lessons for secondary-aged students with SLD, adapting activities to meet varied abilities and encouraging participation and confidence.

You will join a supportive SEN team and collaborate with teaching assistants to maintain positive behaviour and routines.

Qualifications

• QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous PE teaching experience.
• Experience working with SLD or complex SEN desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt lessons for different abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver PE lessons for students with SLD.
• Adapt activities to meet individual learning and physical needs.
• Encourage participation, communication, and confidence.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Work alongside teaching assistants and the wider SEN team.
