Job summary
Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a partner secondary SEN provision in Stockport. You will support pupils aged 11-19 with SLD, PMLD, autism and complex needs, helping them access a dynamic curriculum that promotes independence and essential life skills.
The setting provides a safe, inclusive environment where each pupil is valued. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, with ongoing professional development and strong school teamwork.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g., SLD, PMLD, autism, or complex medical needs).
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach to managing behaviours that challenge.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other team members.
- Level 2/3 SEN/education qualifications preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils aged 11–19 to access a dynamic curriculum.
- Promote independence, communication and life skills.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist with behaviour management and safeguarding as part of the team.
