Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Secondary Sensory Teacher for a specialist SEN setting in Chiswick, West London. You will plan and deliver accessible lessons across KS3–KS4, adapting to pupils with sensory needs and collaborating with teaching assistants.

The role offers a full-time, temp-to-perm contract starting September, with a supportive team and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in pupils' progression.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within an SEN or specialist setting.
• Experience working with pupils with sensory needs is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of adapting teaching and learning for pupils with additional needs.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A flexible and creative approach to teaching.
• A genuine interest in working within specialist education.

Responsibilities

• Teaching pupils across KS3 and KS4 within a specialist SEN environment.
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Adapting the curriculum to meet a range of sensory and additional needs.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff.
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual learning plans.
• Creating a structured and engaging classroom environment.
• Developing positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Working as part of a dedicated specialist team within the Chiswick school.
