Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Bradford is seeking a dedicated Secondary PE Teacher for day-to-day supply or long-term cover, with an immediate start. The role requires delivering engaging theory and practical PE lessons across KS3/KS4/KS5, supporting GCSE and A Level PE assessments and monitoring student progress.

The ideal candidate holds QTS with PE specialism, has experience in a UK secondary school and can manage classes effectively while promoting physical activity and student development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Physical Education specialism (ECTs welcome)
• Experience teaching Physical Education within a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the Secondary National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level PE requirements
• Experience supporting GCSE and A Level PE preparation, including practical assessments and theory lessons

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons across KS3/KS4/KS5
• Support GCSE and A Level PE examination preparation and assessments
• Assess student progress and maintain effective classroom management
• Promote physical activity and student development in a positive learning environment

Summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher. The school provides a learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their physical fitness, teamwork, confidence and understanding of sport and physical education.

The school is looking to take on a motivated PE Teacher for day-to-day supply or long-term cover opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Key Stage 5 / KS5, supporting GCSE and A Level PE examination preparation, assessing student progress and maintaining effective classroom management.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Physical Education specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Physical Education within a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the Secondary National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level PE examination requirements
• Experience supporting students with GCSE and A Level PE preparation, including practical assessments, theory lessons and targeted interventions
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with a passion for promoting physical activity and student development
