Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Bradford is seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher for day-to-day supply or long-term cover. You will deliver engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons across KS3–KS5, support GCSE and A Level PE preparation, and assess student progress.

The role requires QTS with PE specialism, UK secondary experience, strong knowledge of the curriculum, and excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• QTS with Physical Education specialism in the UK.
• Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Secondary National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level PE.
• Experience supporting GCSE and A Level PE preparation, including practical and theory lessons.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
• Positive, adaptable approach with a passion for student development.

Job description

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £150 - 190 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher. The school provides a learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their physical fitness, teamwork, confidence and understanding of sport and physical education.

The school is looking to take on a motivated PE Teacher for day-to-day supply or long-term cover opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Key Stage 5 / KS5, supporting GCSE and A Level PE examination preparation, assessing student progress and maintaining effective classroom management.

The successful PE Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Physical Education specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Physical Education within a UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of the Secondary National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level PE examination requirements
• Experience supporting students with GCSE and A Level PE preparation, including practical assessments, theory lessons and targeted interventions
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching, with a passion for promoting physical activity and student development
