Runwood Homes is seeking a committed Second Chef to join its hospitality team, delivering hotel and restaurant standard meals for residents without long shifts. You will support the Head Chef, lead in their absence, and ensure all meals meet dietary and nutritional requirements.

The role emphasizes quality, presentation, and safe food handling, with opportunities to advance within a growing care provider. Training and development are a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Knowledge of special dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 required; NVQ Level 2 preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve meals to high standards with attention to presentation and taste.
• Follow menus and company requirements for food safety and portioning.
• Comply with Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations (England) and related standards.
• Monitor portion control and minimize waste.
• Accommodate individual dietary requirements by following charts and recipes.
• Maintain stock control and place orders when required.
• Deputise for Head Chef when required.
• Ensure a safe, healthy and efficient working environment and correct storage of all items.
