Job summary

Runwood Homes Limited invites applications for a Second Chef to join our Hospitality team. Deliver hotel and restaurant standard meals for residents, with no split shifts. You will support the Head Chef and lead in their absence, ensuring high quality and person-centred service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Secure understanding of dietary requirements and nutritional needs.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification; NVQ Level 2 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all stages of food preparation meet high standards for residents' wellbeing.
• Cook and serve meals in line with menu and company requirements.
• Comply with Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations 2013 and related standards.
• Maintain quality of meals in terms of presentation and taste.
• Maintain portion control and minimize waste.
• Meet dietary requirements by following recipes or adapting dishes as needed.
• Maintain safe, healthy, and efficient working environment through checks and systems.
• Store all food and items correctly and monitor stock rotation.
• Deputise for Head Chef when required.
