Job summary

Forbes of Kingennie, a stunning resort with an exceptional restaurant near Dundee, is seeking an experienced Chef to join the busy kitchen team. You will cook and present high-quality dishes, uphold kitchen hygiene and work collaboratively to deliver memorable dining experiences for guests.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of chef experience in a fast-paced environment, a true passion for food, and a proactive, flexible approach. We offer a supportive team and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Passion for food and delivering high-quality dishes.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Strong communication and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and excellent standards.
• Work efficiently within a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment, particularly during peak service periods.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, working collaboratively with the wider team.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and minimising food waste.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and kitchen sections, ensuring dishes are delivered to a consistently high standard.
• Support and share knowledge with other kitchen team members where appropriate.
