Royal Mail is hiring for a Seasonal Mail Sorter at Truro Mail Centre, Truro (TR1 1AA). This temporary role supports our busiest period, handling letters and parcels with accuracy and care while on active, hands-on duties.

Enjoy a flexible shift pattern and the festive work environment in a busy warehouse setting. Pay depends on the shift pattern: late shifts (14:00–22:00) and night shifts (22:00–06:00) with hourly rates of £15.14 and £16.44 respectively.

‘Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you’ll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at Truro Mail Centre, Newham Road, TRURO, TR1 1AA, including the following core shift patterns:

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£15.14 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What You’ll Need To Join The Team

• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
