Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Truro is looking for a Seasonal Mail Sorter to help process cards, gifts and parcels during the peak season. No previous warehouse experience is required—just enthusiasm and reliability.

You will unload items from delivery lorries, move mail around sorting centres, and assist with sorting quickly and accurately. Shift options include Lates (14:00-22:00) and Nights (22:00-06:00) with pay rates £15.14 and £16.44 per hour.

Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you'll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at Truro Mail Centre, Newham Road, TRURO, TR1 1AA, including the following core shift patterns:

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£15.14 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What you'll need to join the team

You don't need any previous warehouse operative, mail or parcel sorting experience. We're looking for people who:

• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
