Barchester Healthcare in the UK is seeking a qualified chef for a casual, part-time Bank Chef role with flexible working and better work-life balance. You will support the Head Chef in delivering hotel/restaurant standards using fresh seasonal food while tailoring menus to residents.

Qualifications

• Personable and warm approach with genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition.
• Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
• Good understanding of HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Work fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards.
• Help create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
• Work within budget.
• Complete regular audits.
• Manage stock control.
• To assist in leading and motivating a team.
