Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a qualified chef for a casual, part-time Bank Chef role. You will support the Head Chef with fresh seasonal menus and deliver hotel/restaurant standards with flexible hours and no long shifts.

Join a leading UK provider, renowned for person-centred hospitality across 260 homes and hospitals. You will work with residents to tailor menus, maintain HACCP compliance, and help create a warm, welcoming kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition.
• Experience of working with fresh seasonal food.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes.
• Help create a warm, efficient and fun environment.
• Work within budget.
• Complete regular audits.
• Manage stock control.
• Assist in leading and motivating a team.
