The role involves supporting the Head Chef, leading the team during service, preparing seasonal dishes, maintaining quality and hygiene, and contributing to menus for restaurant, weddings and events.

Qualifications

• Experienced Sous Chef confident in a busy kitchen and capable of leading a team.
• Previous experience at Sous Chef level or as a Senior Chef de Partie ready for the next step.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal food.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Hands-on, reliable and leads by example.
• Confident in supporting and leading a kitchen team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
• Own transport essential due to rural location.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead the kitchen team during service when required.
• Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal dishes to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards.
• Assist with ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Contribute ideas to menus and food development.
• Support weddings, events and busy service periods.
• Train and support junior kitchen team members.
