Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in the UK is seeking a talented Sous Chef for a seasonal role near Reading. The package includes £34,000 per annum, 40 hours per week, and the bonus of free golf, with training and development across the group.

Based between Reading and Basingstoke, you will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards, lead the kitchen in their absence, and help control costs while delivering creative seasonal menus.

Formación

• Previous Sous Chef level experience or strong Senior Chef de Partie.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking and kitchen standards.
• Ability to lead a kitchen team when required.
• Creative approach to menus and seasonal produce.
• Strong understanding of food safety and cost control.
• Full driving licence and vehicle access due to rural location.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Head Chef and deliver high kitchen standards.
• Support menu development and introduce fresh ideas and flavours.
• Prepare, cook and plate dishes to a high standard.

Sous Chef opportunity offering £34,000 per annum, 40 hours per week and free golf, working within a growing hospitality and events-focused venue near Reading.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help deliver consistently high standards across the kitchen.

• Support menu development and introduce fresh ideas and flavours
• Prepare, cook and plate dishes efficiently to a high standard
• Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
• Maintain strong food safety, hygiene and storage standards
• Monitor stock, portion control and food costs to minimise waste
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently
• Stay up to date with current culinary trends and techniques

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will be a motivated Chef with strong kitchen experience and the confidence to support a team.

• Previous experience at Sous Chef level or as a strong Senior Chef de Partie
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking and kitchen standards
• Ability to lead a kitchen team when required
• Creative approach to menus and seasonal produce
• Strong understanding of food safety and cost control
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the rural location between Reading and Basingstoke
