Spring Supply Chain is partnering with a Newcastle-based freight forwarder to recruit an experienced Sea & Air Export Operator. You will take full ownership of shipments from start to finish and manage client accounts within a vibrant, close-knit team.

The role focuses on end-to-end sea and air export operations, including documentation, customs entries, and coordination with carriers. A proactive, customer-focused approach and strong organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Freight Forwarder (minimum expectations).
• Sea Export Operations experience; Air Exports desirable.
• Confident managing end-to-end operations; customs entries preferred but not essential.

The Role

• Manage end-to-end sea and air export operations, with a primary focus on sea freight.


• Handle cross-trade shipments to various global destinations.


• Maintain full ownership of customer accounts, building strong working relationships from initial handover by the sales team.


• Complete all associated documentation and customs entries.


• Coordinate seamlessly with carriers, agents, and clients to ensure smooth transit.


• Contribute to a collaborative, outgoing, and hardworking team environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within a Freight Forwarder


• Experience in Sea Export Operations, Air Exports desirable


• Confident managing operations end-to-end, experience handling customs entries is preferred but not essential


• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to take full ownership of client accounts


• A proactive, hardworking approach and a great fit for a sociable team.


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
