Job summary

CAP is seeking a Debt Help Compliance Manager for Scotland to support debt advisers with Scottish-specific solutions. The role focuses on policy development, training delivery, and ensuring regulatory compliance across CAP Scotland debt centres.

The position reports to the Service Quality and Insight Strategic Manager and requires attention to case law, government policy, and accreditation. Hybrid work from CAP Scotland Office in Blantyre.

Qualifications

• Detailed technical knowledge of statutory debt advice in Scotland or ability to learn quickly.
• Understanding of social security and anti-poverty policy in UK/Scotland.
• Experience in preparing training materials and briefing documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop policy & procedures for debt help service in Scotland and keep staff updated.
• Stay updated on case law, policies, procedures, and legislation; disseminate to staff.
• Ensure accreditation (AQS/MaPS) and FCA Authorisation in Scotland.
• Attend meetings with AiB, Money Advice Scotland, or the Scottish Government.
• Provide high-quality training materials and deliver training when relevant.
