Job summary

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in Scotland seeks a Compliance Manager to support debt advisors delivering Scottish-specific solutions and to assist Debt Centres in local Churches. The role ensures policies are compliant with current legislation and partners with AiB, Money Advice Scotland and the Scottish Government.

You will develop Scottish Debt Help policy, train staff, and explore new initiatives to improve client outcomes across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Detailed technical knowledge of statutory debt advice in Scotland.
• Clear understanding of social security and anti-poverty policy at UK/Scottish Government level.
• Experience preparing training materials and briefing documents for diverse audiences.
• Experience delivering change and working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop policy & procedures for debt help service in Scotland and keep staff up to date.
• Stay informed on policy developments, case law, and legislation affecting debt advice.
• Ensure compliance to achieve accreditation and FCA authorisation in Scotland.
• Attend meetings with AiB, Money Advice Scotland or Scottish Government.
• Deliver high-quality training for debt advisors and coaches in Scotland.
