Job summary

Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic Science Teachers to work in Stroud and surrounding areas from October 2026. The role covers KS3–KS4 across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with flexible long-term, short-term and day-to-day placements that fit 2–5 days per week.

You can expect competitive daily rates (£150–£300), weekly PAYE, and supportive, dedicated consultants to help you plan engaging lessons while maintaining safeguarding and high classroom standards.

Qualifications

• QTS is preferred, but applications from unqualified teachers with strong secondary Science experience are welcome.
• Science degree or equivalent required for subject specialism.

• Teach Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics depending on subject specialist and experience.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but we also welcome applications from:
  
  
  
  • Unqualified teachers with strong secondary Science teaching experience.
  
  
  • Trainee teachers due to achieve QTS.
  
  
  • Graduates with a degree in a Science-related subject who have relevant classroom or teaching experience and are looking to begin their teaching career.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
