Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for a permanent, full-time role at the WCG Drive 14-16 Direct Entry School on the Trident College campus. You will teach GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and may also cover PE or PHSE as needed.

The post requires SEMH experience and a commitment to curriculum development under the Headteacher. As a qualified teacher, you will design engaging lessons, track learner progress, and collaborate with staff to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status, QTLS or PGCE.
• GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English.
• Educated to degree level in a related subject.
• Experience in delivering GCSE Science and SEMH support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) to students.
• Teach 25 hours per week during the school term.
• Develop the science curriculum with the Headteacher.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement.
• Support learners’ needs and liaise with staff to ensure progress.
• Hold parent evenings and complete reports to meet curriculum requirements.
• Uphold educational standards and contribute to centre improvement.
