Job summary

Warwickshire College Group (WCG) invites an experienced English Teacher to join the WCG Drive team on a permanent, full-time basis at the Trident College campus, launching in September 2026.

You will teach GCSE English and Functional Skills to 14–16 students, with scope to add PE or PHSE duties; you will develop the English curriculum with the Headteacher and monitor learner progress, safeguarding, and reporting, and contribute to the centre’s improvement plans and partnerships with parents.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status, QTLS or PGCE.
• GCSE Maths and English grade A-C.
• Educated to degree level in a related subject.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum development and innovation, incorporating appropriate technologies.
• Teach GCSE English and Functional Skills to 14–16 learners.
• Deliver classroom, online teaching, tutorials and outreach duties.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and safeguarding.
• Support learner needs and liaise with staff to implement improvement strategies.
• Participate in team and committee meetings.
