Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist 14-16 education provision based in Warwick in their search for a Science Teacher, delivering GCSE Science alongside vocational courses in Engineering and Motor Vehicle in a supportive, inclusive environment. The role is permanent and full-time (37 hours per week, with 25 teaching hours in a 39‑week year).

You will teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics, support students with SEND/SEMH, contribute to curriculum development and maintain high

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or PGCE, alongside a degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience teaching GCSE Science with knowledge of the National Curriculum and exam specs (AQA/Edexcel/Eduqas).
• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or EAL needs.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt teaching to learner needs.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to build relationships with parents and colleagues.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic approach to student development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Support students with SEND/SEMH needs and monitor progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development and maintain high teaching standards.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engage learners.
