Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting a Science Teacher to join a growing, values-driven Secondary Academy in Sandwell. This role focuses on delivering biology across KS3-4 and leading practical experiments with strong health and safety practice.

You will manage planning, preparation, assessment and marking as part of a supportive Science Department. The position is full-time, starting after the October Half Term and continuing to the end of the academic year.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Science (QTS) – also suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • Previous experience teaching Science or specifically Biology
  • A strong understanding of AQA exam curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students
  • A commitment to delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils to grow their understanding of Scientific curriculum and practices.

Flourish Education are recruiting a Science Teacher to join a growing, values-driven Secondary Academy in Sandwell. Our partnership school is seeking a diligent and adaptable Science Teacher specialising in biology, who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Working in the Science Department will involve leading on practical experiments so, relevant knowledge of health and safety procedures is imperative.

You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including but not limited to planning, preparation, assessment and marking.

This role is full-time and the position is to start after the October Half Term and will continue to the end of the academic year.

Required Skills and Experience as a Science Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Science (QTS) – also suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

Working as a Science Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits including:
  • Pay: £174.71 to £240.72 day rate which equates to £34,069 per annum to £46,940 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependant on experience)
