Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Doncaster is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school. You will plan and deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and help foster curiosity and high standards among students.

ECTs are welcome. A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required, with a degree in Science and strong subject knowledge across the curriculum.

  • Differentiate lessons to support varying abilities and needs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
  • Support STEM activities and enrichment opportunities.

Science Teacher

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Doncaster. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality Science education, inspiring students to develop curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a strong understanding of the world around them.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career within a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable).
  • Teach Science in line with the National Curriculum, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in accordance with school policies.
  • Differentiate lessons to support learners of varying abilities and needs.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Support extracurricular activities, STEM projects, and enrichment opportunities.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs are encouraged to apply.
