Job summary

Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a supportive and high-achieving secondary school near Northfield. This is a full-time, long-term post starting after October half-term, teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver and assess lessons, with marking and full class teacher responsibilities, working in a collaborative department that supports students to reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Science in a Secondary School.
• Strong knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science.
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons.
• Mark and assess students’ work with feedback.
• Monitor progress and provide targeted support.
• Maintain high behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the Science department and school team.
• Contribute to wider life of the school.
