Job summary

Herefordshire Council is recruiting an Experts at Hand Coordinator to be the initial point of contact for schools and settings seeking support. You will gather information, coordinate requests, and connect schools with the most appropriate specialist team or pathway, ensuring clear communication throughout the process.

This fixed-term role (3 years) focuses on making it easier for schools to access expertise while maintaining accurate service records and timely follow-up actions.

Qualifications

• Experience of administration, coordination or customer-facing support in a busy service.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with schools and partner services.
• Clear, calm and professional communication; accurate record-keeping.
• Confident using data, records and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for schools seeking support through Experts at Hand.
• Coordinate requests and connect schools with the most appropriate specialist team or pathway.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records and follow up actions.
• Track requests, actions, decisions and outcomes; ensure follow-up occurs.
