Job summary

Halton Borough Council and NHS partners are seeking innovative, passionate and highly skilled professionals to join our new Experts at Hand Team, an ambitious service designed to strengthen inclusion and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

This role delivers psychology within schools, settings and families under EP guidance, with 37 hours per week and flexible delivery models across core, Experts at Hand and traded services.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychology within the context of children/young people and adults, in schools/settings and families, to contribute to the Educational Psychology service plan under the guidance and support of the EP team through involvement with consultation, training and overall service delivery – available to schools, settings and families through core time, Experts at Hand and traded models.
• Assist the Educational Psychology Service in the delivery of services with reference to those Children and young people who are not attending educational settings due to difficulties with their emotional health and wellbeing.
• Conduct and evaluate small scale research-based projects to add to the practice-based evidence base for intervention under the supervision of Educational Psychologists within the team through Core, Experts at Hand and traded models of service delivery. Promote Inclusion, Educational achievement / attainment, and Social and Emotional development.
