Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Team Manager – Experts at Hand to lead a skilled team delivering specialist outreach, assessment and intervention for children and young people with SEND. You will coordinate services across early years, schools and post-16 settings to ensure timely, high-quality support.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusion, and education, with experience in managing staff and driving service improvement across education,

Qualifications

• Experience managing staff and leading a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusion and educational practice.
• Experience working across education, health and care systems.
• Background in education, SEND, social care, psychology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the Experts at Hand Team.
• Coordinate delivery of a responsive, high-quality support offer across early years, schools and post-16 settings.
• Act as a key link between education settings, locality partnerships and wider SEND services.
• Use data, quality assurance activity and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve services.
• Develop strong partnerships with schools, families and professionals.
