Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Ascot is seeking a creative and effective Sous Chef to join our catering team at a busy independent school site. The role covers meal preparation, service and clean-up across breakfast, lunch and dinner, during term-time plus summer weeks.

You will ensure food prepared meets company standards, manage stock, and support head chef with training and safety compliance. The position is 40 hours per week, on-site, with a 5 days out of 7 pattern and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering/kitchen environment.
• Ability to work to high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Willingness to work across a 7-day operation and term-time plus summer period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food service areas for the day’s service and ensure prompt meal service.
• Maintain methods of preparation and presentation to company standards.
• Assist with stock replenishment, ordering, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
