Cover People are working with a well-established, community-focused secondary school in Urmston to recruit a dependable Temporary Site Manager / Caretaker to help maintain a safe, secure and well-maintained school environment.

This role requires practical, organised and dependable individuals with experience in caretaking or facilities maintenance, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with potential optional weekend overtime.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a Caretaker, Site Manager, Site Assistant, Facilities or Maintenance role.
• Good general DIY and maintenance skills.
• The ability to identify and report health and safety concerns.
• An understanding of site security and building maintenance.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A professional and approachable demeanor.

Aufgaben

• Site security—help maintain the security of the school premises and ensure the site is safe and secure.
• Routine inspections and reporting health and safety concerns promptly.
• General maintenance and minor repairs, including lighting and fixtures.
• Building and grounds upkeep, cleanliness, and security of areas.
• Assist with contractor access, deliveries and supervision on site.
• Carry out routine compliance checks (e.g., fire exits, emergency lighting).
• Prepare rooms for meetings, events and examinations.
• Manage waste disposal and keep external areas tidy and safe.
• Provide day‑to‑day site support and liaise with the Operations Manager.
