Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting an experienced Site Manager/Caretaker for a temporary role at a school, starting immediately through to the Christmas period. The role involves daily site checks, general maintenance, minor repairs, and reporting issues, with daytime hours up to 6 per day.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on facilities and health & safety experience, be able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and liaise with contractors and school staff to keep the premises safe, clean and

Qualifications

• Experience as caretaker, site manager, or facilities assistant.
• Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
• Strong health and safety and site compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily checks of school buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Ensure the site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained.
• Maintain records of daily site and compliance checks.
• Identify and report maintenance, health and safety issues.
• Co-ordinate with contractors and service providers.
• Assist with deliveries and moving equipment or furniture.
• Support day-to-day operation of the school site.
