Job summary

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Caretaker to join a primary school in the Wigan area, supporting the day-to-day maintenance, security and smooth running of the school site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are safe, clean and well maintained, carrying out general maintenance tasks and responding to any issues that arise across the site. This advert is for a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.

Qualifications

• All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Responsibilities

• Caretaker position within a Wigan primary school.
• Supporting the general upkeep and maintenance of the school site.
• Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Setting up and moving furniture and equipment when required.
• Supporting with site security and opening/closing duties.
• Ensuring the school environment remains safe and presentable.
• Working closely with school staff to respond to site requirements.
