Job summary

Integra People Limited is recruiting a part-time School Caretaker for a school in the Prestbury area. The role runs Monday to Friday from 7am to 12pm, totaling 25 hours per week, to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming school environment as part of the day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, hands-on and able to work independently with good attention to detail. DBS checks and safeguarding checks will be required as this role is based in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Report maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns.
• Support the school with general caretaking duties as required.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained.
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs where required.
• Opening and closing the school premises as needed.
• Ensuring classrooms, corridors and communal areas are tidy and presentable.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns.
• Supporting the school with general caretaking duties as required.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Have a practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
• Be able to work independently and use their initiative.
• Have good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ideally have previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience.

As this role is based within a school, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the relevant pre-employment and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check, as applicable.
