Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a Site Assistant to join our two campuses, Shireland Biomedical UTC and Shireland CBSO Academy. You will help maintain the site, ensure cleanliness and security, and support safe day-to-day operations and events.

This full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks) carries a Band C SCP 5–8 salary (£25,584–£26,824) with ASAP start. The post requires an Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Academy as required
• Set up and pack away tables/chairs for mock and public examinations
• Switch alarms on/off as and when required
• Assist with general site activities/tasks e.g. painting, repairs, maintenance
• Set up equipment/resources as and when required e.g. for shows, events in our Sport Hall
• Following H+S procedures to ensure site safety e.g. inclement weather
• Ensuring site cleanliness e.g. empty bins, cleaning spillages etc.
• Undergo any further training where necessary e.g. fire safety, manual handling etc.
